Dear all,
As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we're getting slammed lately by spammers. It's really bad - we have about 15 new "members" every day...and although most of them never actually post anything (which makes you wonder why these losers even bother to subscribe), the one ot two that do post their spam posts are very annoying.
I know that Rich and Terry were both helping out a lot - I think they both still are as time permits - but I find now that every time I come to the forum there are more and more spam posts present.
The long-term solution is an improvement of our forum application - and yes, I know I've been promising to get around to setting up something else besides this Snitz forum for some time. As usual, time is always a bit of a problem.
Nevertheless, the near-term solution is a couple more moderators. So if any of you would like to be enabled as moderators, I'd be happy to have you aboard. Basically, all you have to do is delete spam posts when they show up.
So if you're interested, please post here or send me an e-mail.

The mroe the merrier to combat the garbage posts.
I will still try whenever I can. Been in the hospital for the last few days with the Mrs and newborn son. All went well and will be home tomorrow. |
